group meeting

Sitting amongst the grasses and sagebrush for our group meeting

We left the tree-covered landscape of Raleigh, NC this morning at 4:45 am and landed in the wide open spaces of Montana.  We opened ourselves to building community with our fellow participants.  We had our eyes opened to elk, pronghorn, marmots, and osprey.  The heights and expanse of geologic formations showed us the long history of this region.  We had our ears opened to birdsong, and our noses opened to the fragrance of sagebrush.  Our sense of touch was opened to the spiked feel of spruce needles.  And we tasted the clean mountain air.  What an amazing day!
